What we collect
Habeshaslist is a closed editorial publication. The site has no user accounts, no mailing-list capture, no analytics package, no commercial partner network, no tracking pixel, no social plugin and no third-party script of any kind.
The contact form on this site does not transmit data to a server and does not store messages, names or email addresses. It only reveals a thank-you state in your browser. If you choose to email us directly at [email protected], we will receive whatever you write in that message and will use it solely to respond.
The only item stored on your device
If you use the cookie notice, we store a single preference named cookie-consent in your browser’s local storage. Its value is either accept or refuse. It exists only so the notice does not reappear on every visit after you have chosen. It is not used for commercial targeting or audience measurement.
Server logs
Like most websites, the host may keep standard server logs (for example IP address, timestamp, requested URL and user agent) for security and diagnosis. Those logs are retained by the host for a limited period consistent with its operating practices, typically no longer than ninety days, and are not used by Habeshaslist to profile readers.
Legal bases and retention
- Cookie-consent preference — stored on the basis of your choice (consent or refusal recorded at your request). Retained until you clear site data or use “Cookie preferences” in the footer to reset the choice.

No sale or international transfer of reader data
We do not sell, rent, share or transfer personal data to third parties for their own purposes. We do not send reader lists abroad. The only outbound links on legal pages point to our host and to the privacy regulator named below.
Your rights
Subject to applicable Canadian privacy law, you may request access to personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, and portability of data you provided to us, where those rights apply. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify your request. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Complaints

Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Updates
We may revise this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
